The main idea of the project "Equal Opportunities" is to transfer ideas and knowhow from Sweden to the Baltic states in order to increase involvement of disadvantaged people in labour market.

People who need support to enter to the labour market are mentally or physically disabled people, former prisoners just released from the jail, alcoholics etc. In the project context we call them people at risk. These people need special attention and conditions for work; they are equal members of society and the society has to support their right to work.

Activities of the project are addressed to the people and organisations that have potential to increase employment of people at risk. During the project 2 training seminars in Estonia and Latvia and a study tour to Sweden will be organised. Training and informative materials will be translated into Estonian and Latvian from Swedish and published and distributed to participants of the project.

Project “Equal opportunities” increases social cohesion of society in Baltic countries and supports unity of social policy in Nordic region.
